International Violence Prevention Conference: Call for Abstracts

The SaVI and the World Health Organisation’s Violence Prevention Alliance (VPA) are inviting abstracts for papers to be given at an international conference titled, Violence Prevention: From Scientific Excellence to Effective Practice.

This Conference will take place at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, South Africa, from 8 to 9 September 2016. The Conference will be multidisciplinary, and hence abstracts from all relevant academic fields are welcome.

Conference Objectives
This Conference offers an opportunity to researchers from all relevant academic disciplines working on violence and violence prevention to present their current research. Practitioners involved in violence prevention initiatives are also encouraged to make presentations on such interventions.

Submission Requirements
Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words in which you list a title; and clearly state the research objectives, methodology and findings. In addition, please include your bio and contact details.

Successful applicants will be informed by 10 June 2016.

The deadline for the submission of Conference papers will be 29 August 2016.

No honorarium or speaker fee will be paid to Conference presenters.
